Billy Talent  is a Canadian melodic punk rock band from Toronto. They formed in 1993. The band existed for almost a decade before mainstream success, the band meeting in secondary school and moving onto name themselves 'Pezz' which lasted for six years. Though the name was then changed to Billy Talent after a lawsuit from a band using the name 'Pezz' in America. Before Billy Talent was decided, another suggestion was made for the band to be named 'Kafka's Holiday.' The band originating from Ontario Canada.
