Glam Metal Genre

Glam metal, came around in the 1970's and also the 1980's, itself being influenced by other genres such as punk rock and pop music. Another name for this genre being hair metal, this being due to the massive hair which featured on pretty much every band member, glitter metal also being another name for the genre - this being due to the clothing.
     Music Style
When it came to the music style of glam metal, it was literally the exact same style of rock, and also metal in certain sense. Except from the fact the music features catchy hooks, and also some heavy and lengthy guitar riffs. Not only that, but glam metal can also add the odd feature from the genre of screamo - this being the odd scream in the lyrics and song every so often.
     The looks
Glam metal artists tend to also have a mass of back combed hair, which is usual also well past shoulder length. As well as the hair, the use of makeup and also the gaudy clothing which the members wear. This being bold, bright and even using sparkling glitter on certain outfits. Not to mention the use of tight clothing, spandex, headbands, and also tight denim or leather jeans. As well as the looks, the glam metal artists always tend to have a reputation. This being due to the press always following up on their nights of partying and drinking.
